Deepest total depth

The term 'Deepest total depth' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' The deepest total depth of a given well is the distance from a surface reference point (usually the Kelly bushing) to the point of deepest penetration measured along the well bore. If a well is drilled from a platform or barge over water, the depth of the water is included in the total length of the well bore'.
